Publication note: replace every bracketed placeholder before launch. This draft must be aligned with the actual product configuration and reviewed by qualified counsel in the jurisdictions where Crewelo launches.
These Business / Service Provider Terms supplement the Global Terms and apply to businesses, professionals, contractors, organizations, and other providers that create, claim, manage, advertise, or receive customer opportunities through Crewelo (each a "Provider"). If these Provider Terms conflict with the Global Terms for Provider activities, these Provider Terms control.
1. Provider status and responsibility
You operate an independent business. Crewelo does not employ you or supervise your service delivery. You are solely responsible for determining whether you need a license, permit, certification, bond, insurance, professional registration, background check, tax registration, or other authorization and for keeping each requirement current.
2. Business information and verification
You must provide accurate business identity, ownership, contact, service-area, registration, licensing, insurance, and payment information when requested. Crewelo may verify information through documents, databases, domain/email verification, payment-provider verification, user reports, or lawful third-party sources. Verification is not a warranty to customers and may be limited in scope or time.
3. Services, quotes, and customer contracts
You control whether to accept a lead, provide a quote, schedule work, or enter a customer contract. You are responsible for clearly stating scope, exclusions, price, taxes, deposits, milestones, scheduling, cancellation terms, warranties, and other material terms. You must perform services lawfully, professionally, safely, and consistently with representations you make.
4. Stripe Connect and provider payments
Where Crewelo enables customer payments through Stripe Connect, you authorize Crewelo to connect your Stripe account to the Platform and to submit permitted payment-related instructions to Stripe. You agree to the applicable Stripe Connected Account Agreement and other Stripe terms presented during onboarding.
Unless Crewelo expressly designates another payment flow, customer payments for your underlying services are direct charges on your connected Stripe account. You are the seller/merchant for the underlying service. You are responsible for Stripe fees allocated to your account, customer refunds, disputes, chargebacks, negative balances, payout eligibility, and payment-method rules, subject to Stripe’s terms and the specific Crewelo pricing shown to you. Crewelo may collect a disclosed platform/application fee from a transaction.
You must not represent that Crewelo holds customer money in escrow or guarantees payment, and you must not use Crewelo as a bank account, money transmitter, stored-value wallet, or off-platform settlement mechanism.
5. Provider fees and subscriptions
Crewelo may charge subscription fees, usage fees, AI-credit charges, messaging/SMS charges, lead-related fees, transaction/platform fees, or other fees displayed before purchase or activation. Unless otherwise stated, Crewelo’s fees are separate from fees Stripe charges for payment processing and connected-account services.
Recurring paid plans renew until canceled. You can cancel through the billing controls made available in your account. You remain responsible for charges incurred before cancellation and for fees tied to completed usage or transactions.
6. Refunds and chargebacks
You must publish or communicate a lawful refund and cancellation policy appropriate to your services. If a customer is entitled to a refund, you are responsible for funding and issuing it through the available payment tools. You must timely respond to payment disputes and provide accurate evidence. Crewelo may temporarily restrict payment or booking features if your dispute, refund, or fraud profile creates material risk.
7. Free websites, branding, and content
You may use Crewelo templates, hosting, SSL, widgets, AI drafting, forms, and marketplace/network features. Free plans may include Crewelo branding or contextual sponsored placements. You must not remove required attribution, consent language, legal notices, or platform disclosures unless your plan expressly permits it.
You are responsible for ensuring your hosted-site content is truthful and lawful. You must not publish fake staff profiles, fake before/after results, fake reviews, fake licenses, fake service locations, fabricated project photos, or claims that a regulator, customer, or Crewelo endorses you when it does not.
8. Leads and customer data
A lead generated through your Crewelo-hosted business site is ordinarily treated as part of your direct customer relationship, subject to Crewelo’s independent processing for account administration, platform security, billing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and network features disclosed to the user. Marketplace-origin requests may be processed by Crewelo to facilitate matching, communication, booking, trust and safety, analytics, and the marketplace relationship.
You must use customer data only for legitimate service-related purposes or another purpose for which you have an appropriate legal basis or consent. You must not sell lead data, spam customers, add them to unrelated marketing lists without lawful permission, or expose their information unnecessarily.
9. Ranking and marketplace visibility
Crewelo may rank, filter, or recommend Providers using factors such as service/category relevance, service-area proximity, availability, profile completeness, verification signals, responsiveness, quote/booking performance, customer feedback, quality or trust signals, recency, reliability, price or value information where supplied, user preferences, and marketplace liquidity. The relative weight of factors may vary by query, geography, category, device, and product experiment.
Crewelo may offer paid placements or promotional visibility. When payment materially influences placement, Crewelo will identify the placement as sponsored, promoted, or equivalent and will not represent it as an organic ranking. Crewelo does not promise any minimum ranking, traffic, lead volume, conversion rate, or revenue.
10. EU/EEA business-user transparency
For Providers established or operating in the European Union or EEA and using Crewelo to reach EU consumers, Crewelo will maintain clear Provider terms describing material ranking parameters, any paid influence on ranking, relevant data access, grounds for restriction/suspension/termination, and available complaint channels as required by applicable platform-to-business law.
Crewelo may restrict or suspend a listing or account for legal violations, fraud, safety risk, deceptive content, nonpayment, material quality issues, abuse, repeated customer complaints, manipulation, or breach of policy. Where required, Crewelo will provide a statement of reasons and applicable advance notice or appeal opportunity unless a legal exception applies.
11. Data access
Subject to privacy, security, and legal limits, Providers may access data made available in their dashboard about their own listings, leads, communications, quotes, bookings, payments, reviews, and performance. Providers do not gain ownership of Crewelo aggregate analytics, fraud signals, ranking models, other businesses’ data, or data that Crewelo is legally prohibited from disclosing. Export or portability features may be provided where commercially or legally appropriate.
12. Reviews and reputation
You may request reviews only in lawful ways and may not condition a refund, discount, threat, or service on a particular rating. Any incentive for a review must be disclosed and must not require positive sentiment. You may respond to reviews but may not disclose private customer information or retaliate against reviewers.
13. Provider communications
You may use Crewelo messaging, email, or SMS only for customers, leads, and purposes you are authorized to contact. You are responsible for the substance of provider-originated communications and for honoring opt-outs applicable to your business. Crewelo may provide suppression, STOP, consent, and audit tooling; you must not bypass those controls.
14. Provider indemnity and insurance
You are responsible for maintaining insurance appropriate to your services and jurisdiction. To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify Crewelo for third-party claims arising from your services, workers, subcontractors, vehicles, property damage, personal injury, professional advice, regulatory violations, taxes, privacy practices, or representations, except to the extent caused by Crewelo’s own breach or unlawful conduct.
15. Exit and data retrieval
You may cancel your Crewelo plan and request account closure. Before closure, export business/customer data you need, subject to available tools. Crewelo may retain records as described in the Privacy Policy and DPA. Domain connections, third-party payment accounts, phone numbers, or integrations may require separate disconnection or transfer procedures.
