1. Stripe-only processing
Crewelo uses Stripe for payment processing and connected-account functionality. Crewelo does not use another merchant-of-record or subscription processor for the payment flows covered by this policy.
2. Crewelo SaaS charges
Crewelo subscription or usage charges are billed by Stripe on behalf of Adstim LLC. Prices, billing interval, included usage, overages, taxes, and renewal terms will be displayed at checkout or in the billing page. By starting a recurring paid plan, you authorize recurring charges until cancellation.
3. Marketplace/provider payments
Unless the checkout explicitly states otherwise, payment for the underlying service is a direct charge on the Provider’s connected Stripe account. The Provider is the seller/merchant. Crewelo may collect a platform/application fee. Stripe may deduct its processing or connected-account fees according to its agreement with the Provider or Crewelo configuration.
4. No escrow or stored-value wallet
Crewelo does not hold customer funds in escrow, promise release on project milestones, operate a deposit account, or provide stored-value balances. Platform credits or promotional credits cannot be redeemed for cash unless Crewelo expressly states otherwise.
5. Refunds for underlying services
The Provider is responsible for its service refund and cancellation obligations. A customer should first request a refund from the Provider through the available Crewelo or Provider contact channel. Crewelo may facilitate a Stripe refund instruction where technically available, but Crewelo does not independently promise reimbursement for Provider services unless a separate written guarantee applies.
6. Refunds for Crewelo subscriptions
Unless required by law or specifically stated at purchase, Crewelo subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins. If Crewelo terminates a paid plan without cause and without providing the paid service, Crewelo may provide a prorated refund or credit as appropriate. Nothing here limits mandatory statutory cancellation or refund rights.
7. Cancellation and renewal
Users may cancel recurring Crewelo subscriptions through account billing controls or another clearly disclosed method. Cancellation prevents the next renewal charge. Crewelo will not require an unnecessary telephone call or an unreasonable cancellation process where online cancellation is legally required or where the user subscribed online.
8. Chargebacks and disputes
Customers may have rights to dispute payments through their card issuer or payment method. Providers must not retaliate against lawful disputes. Providers are responsible for responding to disputes involving their direct charges. Crewelo may provide records or tools needed for the process and may restrict accounts presenting excessive fraud, chargeback, or non-delivery risk.
9. Taxes, currency, and foreign exchange
Displayed prices may exclude taxes unless stated otherwise. The party responsible for a taxable supply is responsible for applicable taxes, except where law requires Crewelo or Stripe to collect or report. Currency conversion, bank, card, or cross-border fees may be imposed by Stripe, a financial institution, or payment method and are outside Crewelo’s control.
