These Customer Marketplace Terms apply when an individual or organization uses Crewelo to search for, contact, request a quote from, book, pay, message, or review a service provider.
1. Crewelo’s marketplace role
Crewelo helps customers discover and interact with independent Providers. Crewelo is not the underlying service provider and does not supervise the work. A contract for the service is between you and the Provider you select.
2. Requests and matching
You agree to provide accurate request details and to avoid submitting unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or duplicate requests. Crewelo may use your requested service, location, timing, preferences, prior interactions, availability, and marketplace signals to route or rank Providers. You are not required to accept a quote or hire a Provider solely because Crewelo displays or recommends that Provider.
3. Provider checks
A badge, profile field, identity check, license field, customer rating, or other trust signal may reflect a limited check and may become outdated. Crewelo does not guarantee that a Provider is licensed, insured, suitable, safe, or qualified for your specific job. For regulated, high-value, hazardous, medical, legal, construction, electrical, gas, structural, or other specialized work, independently confirm credentials and scope before hiring.
4. Quotes and bookings
Provider quotes may be estimates unless identified as fixed. Review scope, materials, travel charges, deposits, taxes, change-order rules, cancellation terms, warranties, and exclusions before accepting. A booking request is not confirmed until the Platform or Provider clearly confirms it.
5. Payments and refunds
If a Provider accepts payment through Crewelo, Stripe processes the payment. Unless clearly stated otherwise, the Provider is the seller/merchant for the underlying service and is responsible for service-related refunds. Crewelo may assist with technical payment workflows but does not hold funds in escrow or guarantee the Provider’s performance.
6. Safety and in-person services
Use reasonable judgment when arranging access to homes, businesses, vehicles, property, keys, pets, children, vulnerable persons, or valuables. Do not use Crewelo for emergencies. If there is an immediate threat to life, property, or safety, contact the appropriate emergency service or authority.
7. Reviews
You may review a Provider based on a genuine first-hand experience. Reviews must be accurate to your experience and may not contain unlawful threats, extortion, hate, private information, impersonation, or knowingly false statements. Crewelo may ask for transaction evidence when a review is disputed.
8. Communications and marketing
Crewelo may send transactional messages about your request, account, security, quote, booking, payment, or support case. Marketing email or SMS is subject to applicable consent and opt-out rules. Providers may receive contact information needed to respond to a request you submit to them.
9. Disputes with Providers
Try to resolve service-quality, scope, property-damage, cancellation, warranty, or refund disputes directly with the Provider. Crewelo may offer reporting, evidence, support, or review tools but does not adjudicate all private service disputes and is not responsible for satisfying a Provider’s obligations.
10. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Customer Terms waives a non-waivable consumer right. Where local law provides cooling-off rights, statutory guarantees, mandatory warranties, cancellation rights, or access to local courts or regulators, those rights continue to apply according to law.
